Adult Programs (Geared towards adults, open to all ages)

Community Bird Wander

Saturday, May 31st from 10am to 12pm

Join Lead Instructor Lee Earl, experienced naturalist and Pine Project staff member, as we gather together for curiosity-filled wander through the Toronto Humber ravine.

Together, we’ll tune into the sights and sounds of our feathered neighbours, learning to recognize birds by their calls with simple memory tricks. We’ll also explore how size, shape, and behaviour can help us identify different bird families, making it easier to spot new species.

Along the way, we’ll share stories and experiences about urban birds and the connections they create to our local environment. With a playful, sense-based approach, we’ll centre the joy of birds and the curiosity they inspire. Plus, we’ll have binoculars and bird guides on hand to help you get the most out of the experience.

Our Community Bird Wander is geared towards adults; however, all ages who feel able to respectfully engage are welcome (those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). No experience needed—just bring your curiosity!

Join us to learn, laugh, and build connections with our human and more-than-human community!
