Adult Workshops
Wildcrafted Balms & Salves Workshop: Nov 21, 2026 – 1pm-4pm
As the growing season winds down and we prepare for the cold months ahead, it’s a wonderful time to connect with the plants around us and explore some of the ways they can support everyday life. In this hands-on three-hour workshop, we’ll discover how local plants can be transformed into simple, useful products made 100% by your own hands and with all natural ingredients, perfect for the upcoming winter season.
We’ll explore the traditional uses and properties of plants such as calendula and plantain, and learn how to transform botanicals into nourishing balms and salves. You’ll get hands-on with the process from start to finish—from preparing plant-infused oils to blending them with beeswax and creating your own finished products.
Along the way, we’ll explore how working with plants can deepen our connection with the local landscape and help us carry some of the abundance of the growing season into the colder months. You’ll leave with your own handmade lip balm and a small container of botanical salve to keep yourself or give to a loved one as a holiday gift. This workshop will introduce the knowledge and basic techniques to continue making balms and salves at home.
No previous experience is necessary. Come ready to slow down, get your hands into the process, and discover a new way to work with the plants around us before winter arrives.

She is always excited to share her knowledge and passions with others.
