Access & Affordability
Nature connection is for everyone.
At Pine, we believe every child should have the chance to learn, grow, and thrive in nature, no matter their financial circumstances or individual needs. Thanks to the generous support of our community, we’re able to offer a range of supports that help make our programs accessible to as many children and families as possible.
Bursaries
Pine’s Bursary Fund helps families who cannot access our programs at their full cost. Bursaries typically cover 20–50% of tuition, but can range from 10–100% depending on individual circumstances. We work closely with each family to understand their needs and explore what level of support is needed to make participation possible.
To apply, families first register for an available program and pay the deposit*. After registering, they submit a short bursary application by the following deadlines to be considered within the first round of bursary applications:
- March Break: January 9
- Summer Camps: March 1
- Outdoor School: August 1
Applications submitted after these dates will be considered on a rolling basis as funds allow.
*Bursary applications are only assessed for registered participants. If you are not able to pay the deposit prior to receiving a bursary, please reach out to our team at info@pineproject.org. We try our very best to work with each family to make the program accessible; in the rare case that we are not able to meet your financial need, we will provide a full refund.

Payment Plans
For most programs, we only require a deposit upon applying. Depending on the program, the balance is either collected in full at a later date or divided into a payment plan. If this payment structure creates financial strain for your family, reach out to us at info@pineproject.org — we’re happy to discuss custom payment options to help make participation possible.
Gear & Clothing Support
We want every child to feel safe and comfortable outdoors. We provide support for seasonal gear and clothing for participants who need an extra hand to stay warm and dry. Please email info@pineproject.org to learn more.
Support for Children with Varying Abilities
We welcome children with a wide range of exceptionalities and abilities and work closely with families to understand their child’s needs. At our summer day camps, we offer a limited number of spots with an alternative ratio of 1:1 each week for campers requiring additional support (see our Summer Day Camps webpage for more). For other programs, reach out to info@pineproject.org to discuss how we can best support your child.
Support for Schools & Community Organizations
Pine partners with a limited number of local schools and community organizations to provide nature programming for equity-deserving children and youth. If you’re a teacher, school, or community leader interested in bringing Pine programs to your group, please contact us at info@pineproject.org — we’d love to connect.
