King’s Mill Park – West End Programs & Camps

Transit or Walking
Take the subway to Old Mill Station. When you exit, turn left out of the station. Turn left again onto Bloor St. Stay on the north side as you walk east. When you approach the bridge you will see a set of stairs on your left side (if you cross over the Humber River, you’ve gone too far). Take the stairs down and turn left walking northeast, past the parking lot until you see us in a nearby field.

Biking or Driving
Heading West on Bloor St, turn right on Old Mill Trail (where the subway station is) and then another right on Old Mill Rd. Off of Old Mill Rd. you will see an entrance to King’s Mill Park on the right. Turn right into the park and follow this paved road, past the first parking lot on your right. You will see us in the big field to your left (just before the second parking lot).

Transit/Walking Instructions

Take the Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth towards Kennedy) Subway to Main Street Station. At Main Street Station, take the 87A Cosburn to Broadview Station Via East York Acres bus for 10 stops. Get off the bus at East York Acres Parking Lot At Haldon Ave. Turn right onto Haledon ave and continue towards the meeting location.

Biking/Driving Instructions

Heading East on the Danforth, turn left onto Woodbine Avenue. Continue North and turn right onto Cosburn Avenue. Continue East and turn left onto Haledon Ave. Continue until the designated parking lot.

Transit/Walking Instructions

From Pape Station: Take the 25B Bus heading North towards ‘Don Mills Rd at McNicoll Ave’. Get off at ‘Gateway Blvd’. *The intersection is Overlea and Don Mills Rd.* Walk back South (the way the bus came) down Don Mills Rd, and continue straight. Follow the instructions below.

From Broadview Station: Take the 100A Bus heading Northeast towards ‘Wynford Dr at Eglinton Ave East’. Get off at ‘Don Mills Rd’. *The intersection is Overlea and Don Mills Rd* Walk back West (the way the bus came) and turn left on Don Mills Rd South. Follow the instructions below.

When walking South on Don Mills Rd, stay on the East side of the road. Just past Marc Garneau Collegiate Institute, follow the sidewalk to a path that steers left, called the Lower Don Recreational Trail. Walk the trail for about 5 minutes, and when you come to a fork, stay to the right. Follow the trail under Don Mills Rd and you will arrive at the meeting spot to your right.

Biking/Driving Instructions

When taking the Don Valley Parkway (DVP):

South: Take the Don Mills Rd. NORTH exit, and turn right onto Don Mills Rd. Travel for 900m, and turn left onto Overlea Blvd.

North: Take the Don Mils Rd. NORTH exit, and merge onto Don Mills Rd. Travel for 1.2km, and turn left onto Overlea Blvd.

Then follow the Overlea Blvd. directions below:

When taking Eglington Avenue:

East: Head East on Eglington Ave., and turn right onto Don Mills Rd. South.

West: Head West on Eglington Ave, and turn left onto Don Mills Rd. South.

Travel for 1.2km and turn right onto Overlea Blvd. Once on Overlea Blvd, travel for 800m, and turn left onto Thorncliffe Park Drive. In 400m the driveway/parking lot will be on the left.

Taylor Creek Park – Alternative East End Location

Transit or Walking
Go to Coxwell station and take a bus northbound on Coxwell Ave. (70 O’Connor buses). Get off at O’Connor Drive (Coxwell and O’Connor). Continue walking North on Coxwell Blvd. until you reach a park/parkette called Cullen Bryant Park. Walk directly through this park toward the wooded edge and take the stairs down into the valley. At the bottom of the stairs turn left and follow the river/path downstream until you get to the parking lot/grassy open area in about 150m.

Biking or Driving
The entrance to the park is on the north side (right) o Don Mills Rd. just west of the DVP (heading to the Science Centre from the DVP_. When approaching from the:

East (East York and O’Connor Dr.):
The second available right that you can make after crossing over the DVP on Don Mills Rd. is the entrance to Taylor Creek Park/Coxwell Ravine. It is the exit immediately after the ramp from the DVP south.

West (Science Centre, Eglinton and Don Mills area):
Follow Don Mills Rd. pas the Science Centre. As you drive down the hill going into the Don Valley, watch for an unmarked park entrance on your left side, at the bottom of the hill at the slight end to the right. This is the entrance to Taylor Creek Park/Coxwell Ravine.

North (DVP Southbound):
Take the Don Mills Rd. North exit. The entrance to the park is the first available right you can make after merging onto Don Mills Rd.

South (DVP Northbound):
Take Don Mills Rd. North exit. The second available right that you can make after crossing over the DVP on Don Mills Rd. is the entrance to Taylor Creek Park/Coxwell Ravine. It is the exit immediately after the on-ramp for the DVP southbound.

Once you take this exit, stay to your left and drive over the small white bridge into the Charles Sauriol Conservation Area parking lot. Please park at Charles Sauriol and walk five minutes to the meeting location.

Please note that although camp is located on the Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve’s property we will not be near or have use of any of their buildings.
